Clevernet Founded

Shane Deasy, Russell McQuillan, Kieran McCrea and Gareth Morgan, founded Clevernet in 2020 to bring a new era of connectivity, sustainability and smart building solutions to commercial buildings in Ireland and the UK.

Serves high speed connectivity to Costa Coffee across Ireland

Clevernet signs national agreement with Costa Coffee to provide high speed Connectivity, managed WiFi and Hosted VoIP to 165 stores in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Clevernet checks in to 5 star status with Fitzwilliam Hotels

The iconic 101 five star hotel in Belfast City Centre join Clevernet as the company signs deal to provide Managed Connectivity and WiFi to all hotel bedrooms bedrooms, bars and restaurants bringing the number of hotel rooms under management to 2,000

Clevernet cements deal to run smarter buildings

Clevernet has partnered with a Canadian company called BrainBox AI, which has developed software that can manage building systems and energy consumption to reduce a building’s carbon footprint. The technology uses the “latest remote sensor technology and deep learning” to generate the efficiencies across a building’s management systems.

Clevernet acquired WiFi company Connect2Fi

Two Irish companies working in the development of smart buildings have merged. Clevernet, a Dublin-based developer of software, wireless networking and internet of things (IoT) solutions for energy use announced it had acquired Connect2Fi for an undisclosed sum.

During COVID, communication was more critical and ever and CRC chose Clevernet to bring their WiFi up to speed, providing connectivity to critical systems and guest access for visitors.

Clevernet go back to school, helping over 100 schools navigate a new world of blended learning

School WiFi prior was only designed to get the teachers online and maybe the odd interactive whiteboard, as schools begin to re-open post COVID the classroom is a new world of all students learning on iPads and classrooms being hybrid of in-room and at-home learning, schools needed a solid connectivity partner to help them achieve this.

To address this, we’ve partnered up with Brainbox AI to trial the introduction of Artificial Intelligence within 100 Victoria Street to help our drive toward net zero and improving comfort for the people within our buildings.”

ECCOcast / Energy Information Screens ...and Further Expansion

Clevernet believes that the road to 2030 will be achieved by educating and informing all stakeholders. With this in mind, Clevernet is rolling out energy information screens in a number of their clients’ buildings, where critical data will be visible to all who occupy the building and updated in real time.
